Updated post: Apparently thanks to a clever but intrusive bit of reprogramming on the part of this site's hosting company, comments are back open — and perhaps a bit less hackable by spam robots.

Original post: It may be that comment spam overnight forced the company that hosts Coffee Hour and Philocrites to shut down commenting scripts, but for the time being you can't leave comments. (And just as we were starting to brainstorm the Blogging Awards. Hmm. Very suspicious.) I'm investigating!
